By far, Maldivian Artist Community is the only NGO working actively in the Maldives and organizing exhibitions involving so many artists. Our annual exhibitions welcome all artists across the country as a platform to showcase their great talent. This is the fifth year of our NGO and the fourth annual exhibition with the name “Unveiling Visions”.
Despite the lockdown due to Covid 19 pandemic, the exhibition was held this year too. Unveiling Visions 2020 was inaugurated by the Maldives Vice President Mr. Faisal Naseem on 22nd of October 2020. 52 Artists participated from 6 different categories; drawing, painting, Digital Art, Calligraphy, mixed media and sculpture, in this exhibition. This year also most vibrant artist was selected and awarded “The Most Vibrant Artist Award”. But this year, the opportunity was broadened by selecting an artist from each category between the age of 16 to 30 years, with the aim to increase the number of participants winning the award and 4 artists from 4 different categories won the “Most Vibrant Artist Award”. It was judge by the Fine Art Maldives. The exhibition will be open for the public till 29th of October 2020.
