Her

Description

The title of the painting is “Her”. It is about a girl who has battled through emotional trauma and abuse since childhood yet never gave up on her battles. My main focus of this painting was to highlight the importance of mental health issues and emotional traumas stemmed through ones childhood. Furthermore, creating awareness on the importance of appreciating those who are silently battling with such issues and has made this far. The 13 eyes on the painting is each unique and each represents a cause or reason for trauma she battles with. The white cloth around her body represents the innocent of her as a child taken away by the causes and reasons, but shows how she is trying her best to hold on to it. I chose the greenish-blue colour as the background colour to represent hope. Hope for “Her” and the future of “Her” as a survivor of silent battles with mental health.
