Eema Shareef
As an artist, I’ve never expressed myself in my work before. But in this charcoal painting, I instilled a darker perception in the face of aging. With each passing day as I stared into her sagging skin and wrinkled smile, I started dreading the daunting prospect of growing old. The thought of becoming infirm had instilled a fear of being closer to death, and letting go of dreams I haven’t brought to reality yet. Through the decision between the romanticism of idealism or common sense, you can predict your fate.
