Aminath Ismail
Aminath Ismail, also known as ‘PINK’ started experimenting with different paint mediums at a very tender age. As a child, she recollects her fascination when she unravels trying to open a new box of paint or modeling clay that she knew painting was going to be a lifelong affair for her. Since then she hasn’t looked back and pursued her passion leading up to various outstanding achievements during her academic years of schooling and thereafter. Recently, she was renowned for her stint in the title sequence of Maldivian drama series “EHENAS” which was well recieved and highly applauded. She had her first solo exhibition in early 2020 showing her incredible art pieces painted for this series. She has an eye for unique and challenging artwork where she depicts an array of perspectives. She uses various mediums of paint in her artwork, her choice of preference being water colour. She also has a flair for monochromatic paintings. She believes art is supposed to make you feel; sometimes you don’t get to choose whether you feel good or bad.
